CA-NOAA

Q: Will the CA-NOAA work by itself?
A: No. It must be connected to an NOAA radio and the radio must be on. Make sure the radio has a 3.5 mm output jack and use the provided connecting cable to connect the CA-NOAA sensor to the 3.5 mm output jack of the radio.

Q: Where can I buy an NOAA radio?
A: Most electronic stores such as Radio Shack carry NOAA radios. Make sure the radio has a 3.5 mm output jack.

Q: The CA-NOAA seems to be working and lights up when pressed, but why is my CA-360 not responding?
A: Most likely, your CA-NOAA is not connected with your CA-360 yet. Make sure that your CA-360 is paired with your CA-NOAA. Refer to your CA-360 for the pairing instructions. Another possibility is that your CA-NOAA is out of range, up to 200 ft away from your CA-360. You can fix this problem by simply bringing them closer together.

Q: How does the alarm process work?
A: The CA-NOAA must be connected to your NOAA radio, and the radio must be switched on. When there is a storm or severe weather warning signal broadcasted in your NOAA radio, the CA-NOAA will pick up such warning and send a wireless signal to trigger the CA-360 to notify you. It is then up to you to check with your local TV, radio channels or internet to find out more about the nature of the warning.

Q: How long will the batteries last and how do I know it is time to replace them?
A: A new set of batteries can last up to 10 months for normal use. If the battery-indicator is dim or weak, it is time to replace them.
